Real Transformers
This blog tracks the news about robotics advances in Japan. One company definitely
to watch for is TMSUK, which has quite an impressive line-up of robots for various
applications, with some even in use on campuses throughout Japan. The biggest of
the bunch is T-52 model: Is this roboton a mission to seek and destroy improperly
parked cars? Certainly the idea has been around longenough:T-52 however, is not
a nemesis to cars. Quite the opposite.
Pink Tentacle reports: “This is the giant rescue robot called T-52 Enryu (“Rescue
Dragon”). It has a bulldozer-like base and a 5-meter long arms that can lift cars stuck
in the snow. In the tests T-52 Enryu showed off its avalanche prevention skills by
removing accumulated snow from the edge of a cliff. The robot also demonstrated
its ability to extract a car buried under a bank of snow.”T-52 Enryu stands 3.45 meters
tall and weighs 5 tons.

Dolphin Submarine
Originally conceived in 1978 by Thomas Rowe the Bionic Dolphin has been in the making for
many years now. Development of the prototype didn’t even begin until 1988 but eventually in
September of 1992 the Dolphin made its first historic underwater ‘flight’.
Powered by a 400 horsepower small-block V8 (the same standard engine that powered the
2005 Corvette) the Bionic Dolphin can travel either on the surface of the water like a boat or
completely submerged like a submarine. While the current models are only single-seaters
Rowe has also designed a two-seat prototype that will serve as the production model.
The Bionic Dolphin was scheduled to go on sale in early 2006 with a price tag of around
$50,000 but looking at the website they still seem to be involved in the very important safety
-testing stages.

He fully disassembles the new devices and carve a piece-of-art wooden cases
for them, each small part gets its own wooden case – the antenna, the sim-card,
the battery.
A battery is hidden inside a wooden bar.
A sim-card comes in the smaller bar.
And antenna is also… wooden.
And the author believes that sooner or later gadget
